Verification and Trust Policy
Version: 1.0
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Effective date: 23 October 2026
1. Introduction
This Verification and Trust Policy explains how Niyazmandiha manages account verification, business listing claims, business verification, Community Ads verification and related trust indicators.
Niyazmandiha is operated by Alki Labs Ltd.
Our aim is to improve platform reliability, reduce impersonation and misuse, and help users understand what different verification statuses mean.
Verification is not a guarantee of a person’s or business’s honesty, safety, legality, competence, service quality or future conduct.
This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Use, Business Owner and Claim Terms, Community Ads Rules, Acceptable Use and Content Policy, Privacy Notice and Moderation, Enforcement and Appeals Policy.
2. Understanding Verification
Niyazmandiha distinguishes between several types of checks:
- Account verification: Confirmation that a user has completed required account checks, such as email verification.
- Contact verification: Confirmation that a user can access a specified email address or mobile number.
- Business listing claims: Approval for an account to manage a particular directory listing.
- Business verification: Additional checks concerning a business or its authorised representative, where such checks are available.
- Identity verification: Checks intended to establish a person’s identity using an approved verification process, where implemented.
These checks serve different purposes and must not be represented as equivalent.
Completing one verification process does not automatically establish another verification status.
3. Account Eligibility and Verification
Registered users must be at least 18 years old.
Account registration is intended to require:
- A valid email address.
- Email verification.
- An explicit declaration that the user is at least 18.
- Acceptance of applicable platform terms.
Email verification establishes that the user can access the relevant email account at the time of verification.
It does not independently establish the user’s legal identity, actual age or trustworthiness.
We may require additional checks when justified by security concerns, suspected misuse or the nature of a particular platform feature.
4. Business Listing Claims
Business listing claims allow eligible users to request management access to an existing business listing.
Business listing claims are free of charge.
Claim approval means that Niyazmandiha has accepted a request for listing-management access based on the checks and information available at the time.
It does not necessarily mean:
- The claimant legally owns the business.
- The business has been independently verified.
- The claimant’s identity has been independently established.
- Niyazmandiha endorses the business.
- All information in the listing is accurate.
We may request supporting evidence where reasonably necessary to resolve a claim or dispute.
Claim-management decisions are governed by our Business Owner and Claim Terms.
5. Business Verification
Business verification is separate from business listing claims.
Where enhanced business verification is available, it may involve one or more appropriate methods, such as:
- Verification of a business email address.
- Confirmation of access to a business telephone number.
- Verification of control over an official business domain.
- Review of relevant business registration information.
- Review of supporting documents.
- Authorised manual assessment.
The methods used depend on the verification process actually available and completed.
Niyazmandiha will not claim that a business has completed checks that have not occurred.
Enhanced business verification may be unavailable for some businesses, categories or locations.
6. Business Verification Status
Where supported, business verification may have statuses such as:
- Pending: Required checks are incomplete or under review.
- Verified: The applicable verification checks have been completed and approved.
- Suspended: The verification status is temporarily restricted.
- Revoked: Verification has been withdrawn.
- Expired: Verification is no longer current and may require renewal.
A verified status reflects only the particular checks completed.
It does not guarantee regulatory compliance, professional qualifications, insurance, financial stability or the quality of a business’s products or services.
Verification may be reviewed or changed when relevant circumstances arise.
7. Community Ads Contact Verification
Community Ads are intended for eligible registered individuals aged 18 or older.
Before publishing a Community Ad, an advertiser must complete the contact verification requirements applicable to that feature.
Our approved initial requirements are:
- Verification of the registered email address.
- Verification of a mobile telephone number through a one-time code or another approved method.
- Confirmation of account eligibility.
- Compliance with the Community Ads Rules.
Email and mobile verification confirm access to the relevant contact methods.
They do not establish the advertiser’s legal identity.
Community Ad publication will remain unavailable until the required verification and safeguarding controls are implemented, enabled and tested.
8. Additional Identity Verification
Niyazmandiha may introduce enhanced identity verification for Community Ads or other higher-risk activities in the future.
Such checks may involve an approved third-party provider, identity documents or other appropriate methods.
Before introducing enhanced identity verification, we will assess:
- The necessity and proportionality of the checks.
- Applicable data protection requirements.
- Provider security and contractual arrangements.
- Data minimisation and retention.
- International data transfers, where relevant.
- Access restrictions and deletion procedures.
- Whether biometric or other particularly sensitive information would be processed.
Any additional requirements will be explained to affected users before the relevant verification process begins.
Niyazmandiha will not display a verified-identity status unless an appropriate identity verification process has actually been completed.
9. Verification Badges and Trust Indicators
Where verification badges or trust indicators are displayed, they must accurately reflect the checks completed.
For example:
- Email verified means access to an email address was confirmed.
- Mobile verified means access to a mobile number was confirmed.
- Business claim approved means listing-management access was authorised.
- Business verified means the applicable enhanced business checks were completed.
- Identity verified may be used only where an appropriate identity verification process has been completed.
These indicators must not be presented as interchangeable.
A verification badge is not a recommendation, endorsement, insurance policy or guarantee.
Users should exercise independent judgement when engaging with businesses or advertisers.
10. Verification Evidence and Privacy
Verification may require personal information, business records or supporting evidence.
We will seek to collect only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
Verification evidence will be subject to appropriate access controls and will not ordinarily be displayed publicly.
We may process verification information to:
- Assess eligibility.
- Prevent impersonation or fraud.
- Resolve disputed business claims.
- Protect users and the platform.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
- Investigate suspected misuse.
Further details about processing, legal bases and individual rights are provided in our Privacy Notice.
11. Verification Reviews and Rechecks
Verification status may be reviewed when reasonably necessary.
Relevant circumstances may include:
- Changes in business ownership or authorised representatives.
- Inaccurate or outdated information.
- Suspected impersonation or fraud.
- Compromised contact details or accounts.
- Evidence that an earlier verification was incorrect.
- Serious policy violations.
- Expiry of an applicable verification period.
- Legal or regulatory requirements.
We may request updated evidence or repeat appropriate checks.
Failure to complete a required recheck may result in restriction, suspension or removal of the relevant verification status.
12. Suspension and Revocation
Niyazmandiha may suspend or revoke verification where there are reasonable grounds to believe that:
- Evidence was false or misleading.
- Verification was obtained through impersonation.
- An account or verification method has been compromised.
- The verified relationship no longer exists.
- A material change invalidates the original checks.
- Relevant platform rules have been seriously violated.
We aim to apply proportionate measures and provide appropriate review opportunities.
Payment for any optional platform service does not influence verification eligibility or protect a status from revocation.
13. Verification Disputes and Appeals
Users and business owners may raise concerns about verification decisions.
This may include:
- Rejected business claims.
- Disputed listing-management authority.
- Incorrect verification information.
- Suspended or revoked verification.
- Suspected misuse of verification indicators.
We may request relevant supporting information to assess a dispute.
Eligible decisions may be reviewed under our Moderation, Enforcement and Appeals Policy.
An appeal does not automatically restore a suspended or revoked verification status.
14. Retention of Verification Information
Verification information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, subject to applicable law and justified exceptions.
Our intended retention approach for business claims and business verification records is:
- While the relevant claim or verification remains active.
- For up to 12 months after closure, rejection or transfer, where continued retention is justified.
- Longer where reasonably necessary for an ongoing investigation, legal claim, security matter or legal obligation.
Contact verification records may be retained while needed to maintain the relevant account or feature eligibility, with further retention subject to the Privacy Notice.
Technical retention and automated deletion processes must be validated against these requirements before launch.
Where third-party identity verification is introduced, applicable retention periods will be assessed and disclosed before activation.
15. Fraud Prevention and Misuse
Users must not:
- Submit forged or altered verification evidence.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Misrepresent their authority to manage a listing.
- Sell or transfer verified account access without authorisation.
- Use another person’s contact information without permission.
- Circumvent verification controls.
- Falsely claim to hold a Niyazmandiha verification status.
- Misuse badges or trust indicators to mislead others.
Suspected misuse may result in verification restrictions, account enforcement or appropriate legal action.
16. Limitations of Verification
Verification is one of several measures intended to improve platform trust.
No verification process can eliminate all risks.
Niyazmandiha does not guarantee that verified businesses or users:
- Will behave honestly in every interaction.
- Hold every licence or qualification relevant to their activities.
- Maintain suitable insurance.
- Provide satisfactory products or services.
- Will comply with every applicable legal requirement.
- Will remain trustworthy after verification.
Users should make independent enquiries and take appropriate precautions before entering agreements or sharing sensitive information.
Nothing in this policy excludes legal responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in verification methods, platform functionality, legal requirements or trust and safety procedures.
The latest version will be published with its last-updated date.
Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
Additional verification requirements may be introduced with appropriate notice and supporting privacy information.
18. Language
This policy is prepared in English.
Where translations or summaries are provided, the English version is intended to serve as the primary reference for interpretation, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this section overrides mandatory language or consumer protection requirements.
