Moderation, Enforcement and Appeals
Version: 1.0
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Effective date: To be confirmed upon public launch
1. Introduction
This Moderation, Enforcement and Appeals Policy explains how Niyazmandiha, operated by Alki Labs Ltd, reviews reported content, enforces platform rules and handles eligible complaints and appeals.
Our aim is to maintain a safe, trustworthy and useful platform while treating users fairly and consistently.
This policy applies to business listings, reviews, business ownership claims, verification, Community Ads, messaging and other user-generated content or activities where available.
It should be read alongside our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use and Content Policy, Community Ads Rules, Business Owner and Claim Terms and Privacy Policy.
2. Our Moderation Principles
We aim to apply moderation decisions according to the following principles:
- Safety: Protect users and reduce the risk of unlawful or harmful activity.
- Fairness: Consider the circumstances and available evidence.
- Proportionality: Match enforcement measures to the nature and seriousness of the issue.
- Consistency: Apply comparable standards to comparable situations.
- Accountability: Maintain appropriate records of significant moderation decisions.
- Privacy: Limit access to sensitive reports and evidence.
- Human oversight: Use authorised reviewers for decisions requiring contextual judgement.
These principles guide our processes but do not guarantee a particular outcome in every case.
3. Reporting Content and Conduct
Users may report content or conduct they reasonably believe violates our policies or applicable law.
Reports may relate to:
- Misleading or fraudulent business listings.
- Fake, manipulated or abusive reviews.
- Unauthorised business ownership claims.
- Prohibited Community Ads.
- Harassment, threats or discriminatory conduct.
- Fraud, scams or impersonation.
- Privacy violations or unlawful disclosure of personal information.
- Misuse of messaging or communication features.
- Safeguarding concerns.
- Other potentially unlawful or prohibited activity.
Reports should provide sufficient information to identify the relevant content or conduct and explain the concern.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary.
Submitting a report does not guarantee that the reported content will be removed.
4. Review and Assessment
Where a report is received, authorised moderators may assess:
- The nature of the alleged violation.
- The content or conduct involved.
- Available supporting evidence.
- The seriousness and potential impact.
- Relevant platform policies.
- Previous related violations, where appropriate.
- Applicable legal obligations.
Moderators may request clarification or additional evidence.
We may prioritise reports involving credible threats, exploitation, safeguarding concerns, serious fraud or potentially unlawful activity.
We may take immediate protective measures where reasonably necessary.
5. Automated Screening and Human Oversight
Niyazmandiha may use automated tools to identify, flag, categorise or prioritise potentially problematic content or activity.
Automated systems may assist with:
- Detecting spam.
- Identifying suspicious posting patterns.
- Flagging potentially prohibited content.
- Prioritising reports for review.
- Applying temporary restrictions where appropriately configured.
Automated assessments are not necessarily conclusive.
Where a decision requires contextual judgement, authorised moderators may review the available information.
An ambiguous automated classification alone will not ordinarily result in an automatic permanent account ban.
6. Enforcement Measures
Depending on the circumstances, Niyazmandiha may take one or more of the following actions:
- Provide guidance or request clarification.
- Issue a warning.
- Request correction or removal of content.
- Temporarily hold content for review.
- Restrict the visibility of content.
- Remove prohibited content.
- Record a policy violation or strike.
- Restrict particular account features.
- Suspend posting or messaging privileges.
- Suspend or revoke business management access.
- Reject or revoke a business ownership claim.
- Review or withdraw a verification status.
- Temporarily suspend an account.
- Permanently terminate an account where justified.
The measure selected will depend on the circumstances and applicable legal requirements.
Serious violations may justify immediate restrictions without a prior warning.
7. Warnings and Repeated Violations
Where appropriate, Niyazmandiha may issue warnings or record repeated policy violations.
A warning or strike does not necessarily result in an automatic suspension.
Repeated or serious violations may lead to stronger enforcement measures.
We may consider the severity, frequency and circumstances of previous incidents when determining an appropriate response.
8. Business Listings and Ownership Claims
Business ownership and listing management are separate from the continued existence of a legitimate public directory record.
Where an owner’s account or claim is restricted or revoked:
- Management access may be suspended or removed.
- The underlying business listing may remain publicly available.
- Other eligible representatives may request management access.
- Disputed claims may require additional evidence.
- Access to private conversations and account information remains subject to applicable privacy and authorisation rules.
A business listing may itself be restricted or removed where required by law or our content policies.
9. Reviews and Ratings
Niyazmandiha may investigate reviews suspected of violating platform rules.
Examples include:
- Fabricated reviews.
- Reviews posted by the business owner about their own business.
- Coordinated rating manipulation.
- Harassment or threats.
- Unlawful disclosure of private information.
- Spam or irrelevant promotional material.
We do not remove a review solely because it is negative or because a business owner disagrees with an honestly expressed opinion.
Moderation decisions may consider authenticity, relevance, applicable law and the surrounding circumstances.
10. Community Ads and Safeguarding
Community Ads are subject to additional rules intended to reduce risks associated with individual advertisements and arrangements.
We may restrict or remove advertisements involving:
- Prohibited goods or services.
- Fraudulent or misleading offers.
- Unlawful activity.
- Safeguarding concerns.
- Unauthorised personal care services.
- Childcare or babysitting.
- Misrepresentation of qualifications or authorisations.
- Other violations of our Community Ads Rules.
Where credible immediate safety risks are identified, we may take protective action without waiting for the ordinary review process.
11. Notifications and Reasons
Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide affected users with information about significant moderation decisions.
This may include:
- The type of action taken.
- The relevant policy or legal basis.
- A general explanation of the reason.
- Whether further action is required.
- Available review or appeal options.
We may limit information where disclosure would compromise safety, privacy, security, investigations or legal obligations.
12. Complaints and Appeals
Users may request a review of eligible moderation decisions affecting their content, account or management permissions.
An appeal should identify the relevant decision and explain why the user believes it should be reconsidered.
Where appropriate, users may provide additional evidence.
An authorised reviewer may:
- Uphold the original decision.
- Modify the enforcement measure.
- Reverse the decision.
- Request additional information.
- Refer the matter for further investigation.
Submitting an appeal does not automatically suspend an enforcement measure.
We aim to handle complaints and appeals fairly and within a reasonable period, taking account of the nature and complexity of the matter.
Any statutory complaint or appeal rights remain unaffected.
13. False or Abusive Reports
Users must not deliberately misuse reporting systems to harass others, suppress legitimate competition or manipulate moderation outcomes.
Knowingly false, malicious or repeatedly abusive reports may themselves constitute a policy violation.
Good-faith reports will not be penalised merely because an investigation does not establish a violation.
14. Legal and Emergency Escalation
Where we identify potentially unlawful activity or serious safety concerns, we may take steps permitted or required by applicable law.
These may include:
- Restricting relevant content or account access.
- Preserving information where legally justified.
- Cooperating with competent authorities.
- Responding to valid legal requests.
- Referring urgent safeguarding concerns through appropriate channels.
Niyazmandiha is not an emergency response service.
Anyone facing immediate danger should contact the relevant emergency services.
15. Moderation Records and Retention
Niyazmandiha may retain moderation reports, supporting evidence and enforcement decisions for up to 730 days (approximately 24 months) after a case is closed, where necessary for platform safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal compliance.
Records may be retained longer where justified by:
- Ongoing investigations.
- Legal claims or disputes.
- Regulatory obligations.
- Security incidents.
- Applicable preservation requirements.
Access to moderation records is restricted to authorised personnel with a legitimate need to review them.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
16. Paid Services and Enforcement
Payment for any Niyazmandiha service does not provide immunity from moderation or enforcement.
Paid and unpaid users are subject to the same applicable content and conduct standards.
Ordinary violations of platform rules do not automatically result in monetary fines.
Any separate contractual charges or legally recoverable amounts would require an appropriate lawful basis.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in platform features, moderation procedures or applicable law.
The current version will be published on Niyazmandiha with its last-updated date.
Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
